How it all began..
"Silversprint Transport" was founded in 2007 by Matt Firman as an sole trader owner driver with just one van, a mobile phone, laptop computer and a sat nav.
Originally, Matt was working for a much larger Transport and Logistics company for over three years but decided that a smaller family business of his own was what he really wanted and where he could offer the personal and dedicated service that he felt the customers deserved but didn`t get with a larger company.
Matt bought the Silver VW van to begin with. Silver was a nice colour for the van and of course it complimented the company name. Matt wanted to be different and divert from the "white van man" so decided to invest some money into customising the van to stand out from the rest. Positive comments about the styling were received by all of Matts new customers and many passing truck drivers & motorists!
"Image is very important and you only have the one chance to make a first impression"

Within 6 months of business, Matt had developed a large client base and he decided that it was time to take the plunge to buy another van and employ a full time driver. The second van was again complimented with the bespoke styling to set the standard.
SilverSprint Transport then found the benefits of eBay and the need for a courier to distribute the large bulky items that the mainstream parcel networks refused to carry.
A niche was found in the industry and systems were put in place to offer a "groupage" service where the goods were grouped into different areas on different days so that a cheaper and Greener economic service could be formed.
Over the next 12 months, the company really started to take shape.. In summer 2008 another two vans were purchased and two drivers were employed full time thanks to the loyalty of their customers and full term contracts that had developed in this time.
With the help of another local business, SilverSprint were able to secure a large warehouse in Bordon, Hampshire to cope with the demands for storage and also the logistics of transporting goods from A to B

In July 2009, a new premises was found in the small village of Farringdon, near Alton, Hampshire. The area, complimented with beautiful rolling countryside, boasted an 8000sq ft warehouse and two onsite offices which is what the company really needed to move the next stage forward. See below:

In April 2010, after 3 years of success and receiving advise from the bank and accountant, The company was changed from a sole trader to a LImited Company trading as "SilverSprint Ltd"
Matt is now working in the office on a full time basis with the help & advice of Martin (Matts Dad) Mhairi (Matts wife) and Graham (former Regional Manager for the Royal Mail)
The ambitions of the company are to remain a small family business and not to get too big too quick. Customer care and a good "hands on" approach will always remain and is taken very seriously.
SilverSprint Ltd promise that they will always offer the highest level of care and support as Matt did on day one.
